  • Total Carnage - by Dan

    Introduction:

The war of 1999 left the country of kookistan a mess-hundreds of reporters and other civilians swarmed there to document the aftermath... and disappeared. Power mad General Akhboob became the sole military power in kookistan by creating his own army of mutants from the radioactive goo produced from his bionuclear generators.
Only two men are brave enough, strong enough, and stupid enough to take on Akhboob's army: Captain carnage and major mayhem.

    Graphics [7/10]:

The graphics are simple and you view the game from a slightly over head view. The different colors used in this game are amazing. The only time I've noticed a skip in the graphics is before you face a big boss. The game freezes for a second and then the boss jumps on the ground.

    Music and Sound [7/10]:

There is barely any music at all, and the music they do have is fast paced and is over shadowed by fx sounds. The sounds are very good. For each different gun there is a different sound surprisingly. There are sounds of jeeps and sounds of goop from the mutants.

    Gameplay [8/10]:

This game is a shoot-em-up game where you get to kill a lot of people. This game has some of the must imaginitive monsters i've ever seen in a game. There are mutants and big fat guys with blow torches. You can play co-op with another player. I'v found this a little easier because in 1 player mode you get as many guys to kill as if it was 2 player.

    Challenge and Replay [9/10]:

The challenge of this game isn't very good unless you play one player. The replay factor is very high because this game is very fun, and it takes a good hour to beat if you a seasoned killer. I've beaten this game at least a hundred times, but i still play it from time to time.

    Overall\Conclusion [8/10]:

This game is very fun, and it is quick. I recomend this game to anyone who likes games like Smash TV. This game is basically a carbon copy of Nintendo's 8-bit Smash TV. The only difference is you're outside and the graphics have been updated to 16-bit. You can probably get this game for 10 bucks (US).
